In these reliquary pieces, Willie uses found objects, narrative text, acrylic paint, and ruff-hewn wood to celebrate the extraordinary nature of everyday life on his father’s tobacco farm in Eastern, North Carolina.
According to Willie, the found objects, --they found him in the most serendipitous ways. The narrative text seemed to write itself as if channeled from his ancestors, written in the style of an old soul. With emotion
