“The exhibit title references only one of the horrors of American history. The artist and museum recognize that slavery and Jim Crow segregations are steps in a long line of subjugation at the hands of colonizers that began with the brutal mistreatment and murder of the indigenous people of this country.”
Rosa Parks museum in Montgomery Alabama is featuring the thought provoking exhibit “America’s Original Sin” by Willie.
“Willie Little’s exhibit helps continue the conversation we have in our main spaces, by connecting past with present social justice issues, Little allows visitors to learn about history through a visual arts lens. The museum is excited to once again host a thought-provoking and challenging exhibition.”
